To promote, form, and accompany men — especially priestly and lay vocations — in fidelity to the Church’s mission, centering life on the Eucharist, the Word of God, and priestly service, and fostering missionary discipleship as instruments of evangelization and pastoral care.

Short History

The Missionaries of the Holy Apostles trace their origins to the mid-20th century efforts of Rev. Eusebe (Eusèbe) Ménard, O.F.M., who began ministry focused on adult vocations and missionary work with the establishment of Holy Apostles seminaries and apostolates. Over time his work expanded to Latin America, Africa, and the United States, and various early communities were eventually unified.
On 15 August 1995, the community was formally named the Clerical Society of the Missionaries of the Holy Apostles (M.S.A.), and in 2000 the Holy See approved its Constitutions and elevated it to a Society of Apostolic Life of Pontifical Right, placing it under the authority of the Bishop of Rome. Today M.S.A. priests and brothers serve in seminaries, parish missions, retreats, and pastoral ministries worldwide to promote vocations, evangelization, and formation in the Church.
